All that you wanted to know about Zoho Inventory
Being an Advanced Zoho Partner, we have plenty of experience with Zoho Inventory; one of our case studies is a large (over 10,000 products in stock) wholesale business in Pennsylvania. Please consider the list below as a reference only; we can do more, if needed (let’s talk).
As for today (December, 2024) Zoho Inventory supports the following features:
Yes and no. Yes, because one can associate a price list to a customer. No, because price lists aren’t customer-dependent and therefore can be applied to multiple customers at the customer record level and at the transaction level (line items table) as well.
But there’s a way to add a custom function that will check if the price list is applied or not and make the corrections by itself or raise the alarm so the human operator will fix the error. Our Zoho consultants will be happy to suggest the best solution.
TL;DR: Not yet, but Zoho is working on it. Long answer: currently, Zoho is gathering information, studying different scenarios, and analyzing frequent and related workflows to incorporate the manufacturing processes into Zoho Inventory. So, if you wish to contribute, please drop us a line about your business manufacturing requirements or directly to Zoho at support@zohoinventory.com.
As a workaround, you can utilize the bundling function within the composite items feature to represent basic assemblies that do not require a BOM (Bbill of Materials). With bundling, you can create kits comprised of the raw materials and labor cost involved in producing the finished goods.
Absolutely, it’s not as straightforward as it may seem. There are numerous WordPress plugins and extensions available in the Zoho Marketplace that can facilitate such integration. For instance:
However, most of them are written with the paradigm that your WooCommerce performs the sales transactions and the customers pay for your goods through WooCommerce’s integrated payment gateways. This is all good for B2C but rarely works for B2B. Most wholesale businesses, omnichannel distributors, and other more or less complex businesses require custom Zoho Inventory / WooCommerce integration. Regardless of your business model, using these plugins requires a good understanding of the data structure on both ends, Zoho Inventory and WooCommerce.
As a Zoho Advanced Partner, we serve one of the biggest Zoho Inventory platform customers, and they work solely on our custom Zoho Inventory / WooCommerce integration. We can help your business, too: read more about our Zoho Inventory / WooCommerce integration.
