Zoho One Apps management: new features in early access (May 2025)

TL;DR: Zoho introduced new features for Zoho One app management, including domain unification, enhanced integrations, MFA policies, web tabs, and user deletion. Try them in early access!

Zoho One Apps Management: New Features

Zoho One admins, rejoice! We all know that the Zoho One apps management can be complex, not because it’s rocket science (it’s not), but due to the multiple yet similar control points scattered across more than 45 applications. This update will simplify your duties, offering a new, unified way to manage Zoho One apps in terms of domain control, integrations between Zoho and non-Zoho applications, and user deletion.

Zoho recently announced a list of new features for Zoho One apps management, available in early access (as of 05/29/2025). Zoho One, the most popular Zoho solution, comprises over 45 Zoho One apps and already has Zoho Directory, a workforce identity and access management platform. The May 2025 update adds the following new features, available for early access at https://one.zoho.com/earlyaccess:

Zoho One Apps Management Update: May 2025

  • Domain Unification

Back in the days, Zoho One admins were forced to authenticate domains for each Zoho One app separately. Good news: not anymore! At least for Zoho CRM, Zoho Forms, Zoho Assist, Zoho Analytics, Zoho Projects, Zoho Campaigns, and Marketing Automation. Support for more apps will be introduced in the future updates.
  • Integrations

Finally, Zoho One admins have a unified hub to manage all integrations for their Zoho One apps—Zoho-to-Zoho, third-party, and custom.
  • Conditional Access and Routing Policy

Configure routing logic to determine which primary authentication method users should follow during sign-in. Select from password-based authentication, passwordless options, social sign-in, or identity providers. Strengthen your organization’s security by implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) with conditional access. Define access criteria based on factors such as IP address, device type, location, time, and other relevant parameters.
  • Delete a Zoho One User

Yes, you’ve read this right. Typically, we cannot delete a user; instead, we can only make them inactive due to data integrity principles. Now we can! The Delete User feature enables an organization admin to remove a user when they leave the company, ensuring they no longer have access to the organization’s resources.
  • Web Tabs

Now, you can define web tabs and open third-party apps right inside Zoho One, so all you want is in one place. Admins can choose whether these apps open either within the Zoho One interface or in a new browser tab.
  • Unified Availability Status

Zoho One organization users can manage their check-ins, availability (Busy/Away), and request leave all from one place without needing to switch between apps.

The screenshot at the beginning of this post is from our Zoho One. As you can see, we’ve enabled some of them, and we like the way it works. However, please note the warning below: not all features can be turned off once they are enabled.
